According to a statement from the agency, NMIXX would remain a six-person group due to “personal reasons.”
After the departure of Jinni, who has also left their agency JYP Entertainment, NMIXX will remain a six-member group.
According to Soompi, Jinni announced her departure from the rookie girl group on Friday (December 9), citing “personal reasons” as the reason for her decision. Additionally, it was stated that “her exclusive contract has been dissolved” and that NMIXX will now only have six members for all future endeavours.
NMIXX is made up of Lily, Sullyoon, Haewon, Jiwoo, Kyujin, and BAE. Before she left, Jinni was regarded as NMIXX’s focal point or the group’s “center.”

With “this surprising news,” the statement apologised for worrying any fans unnecessarily and urged them to support Jinni and the other members of NMIXX.
NMIXX was first shown by JYP in January. Later, in February of this year, the group made its debut with the single album “Ad Mare,” which included the title track “O.O” — which would rank 35 on Spotify’s list of the most widely streamed K-pop songs of 2022. The group began touring internationally soon after their debut as a featured act at KCON 2022’s Premiere In Chicago.
In September, they made their first comeback with the publication of the single album “Entwurf,” which featured the title tune “Dice.” Most recently, they dropped the holiday single “Funky Glitter Christmas.” They also performed the 2022 MAMAs.
According to a JYP Entertainment investment report published in November, NMIXX would put out at least two albums by the first quarter of 2023. NMIXX released video teasers for a mysterious project named “New Frontier” a few days before that story.
